Balancing Public Health With Economic Health – How To Get It Right

It’s been a delicate and difficult line to walk in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, with two very different viewpoints. Do you close businesses and schools to keep people at home and healthy? Or does a healthy economy sustain human life?  The questions are many, the answers are difficult. Is the health and safety of individuals more important than the health of our businesses and economy?

With such an urgent and controversial public health crisis effecting our country, and so much uncertainty surrounding the coronavirus pandemic, what is our threshold and decision point– as a community and as individuals?

While protecting human life and attempting to keep the economy afloat, have we done it right? Are tight restrictions on business operations the answer, or should they be looser? Did our city and county do enough, and do it right?

Time: 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. – Panel Discussion
